Climate
There is no place in Canada to equal Osoyoos for a pleasant agreeable
climate. At an altitude of only 911 feet above sea level, the extremes of
heat and cold are less than those in any other Province. The temperatures
are pleasantly warm in the summer ranging from 20 to 33 degrees C (70 - 98
degree F.) and barely freezing in winter.
Summer temperatures can reach as high as 45 degrees C. although the
average is around 28 degrees C. During winter months average temperatures
drop to 1.3 degrees C. (34 F).
These warm temperatures have made Osoyoos' claim to the "earliest
fruit in Canada " a reality year after year. The average number of
frost free days in Osoyoos is 250 while the annual rainfall is a low 250
mm (10 in.).
Plan to visit a few of the events/activities while in
the heart of the desert, Golf and Wine Country.
